Group Therapy

Group therapy is the intentional use of interventions to address the concerns and needs of individuals in a group of peers. This can be conducted at the adult or child level. Groups are composed of members pre-screened by our therapists to provide a healing environment. Group therapy is also led by a licensed therapist, which is a key distinction from peer support groups. In the case of talk therapy, the provider guides the discussion while members learn from and support each other. Group members learn to become therapeutic helpers towards each other, in the hope that these skills will blossom in daily life.
