Adult Therapy
and
Parenting Support

Therapy for adults involves an exploration of emotional, behavioral, and relational issues. Working with a therapist can help you to gain insight into what you are feeling, why you are feeling it, and how to cope and grow. Our therapists are trained to work with individuals, couples, and families, and are also mindful of the systemic impacts of families of origin, marital concerns, and broader societal influences.

In the case of parenting support, here is an outline of what you can expect:

  • Individual or couples therapy with parents (without children) either in person or via Telehealth

  • Assistance understanding the "behavior as language" of your child

  • Understanding of behavior modification vs. a relational approach

  • Increased understanding of developmental needs

  • Referral for testing, help advocating for school support

  • Helping parents understand the implications of identified academic needs

  • Help gaining insight into historical family dynamics and patterns
